my toes go first every time and my boots are decent. kamik nation plus or something like that, not the best but pretty good. anyway my red head socks weren't getting it done. i got the underarmour infrared coldgear and just to test them out i put them and only them on with those boots fishing in the boat last week when it was pretty damn cold and i only became slightly less than perfectly comfortable in the last 2 hours of sitting in the boat all day. 17 bucks for one pair but they seem to get the job done for me. I have some merino wool wolverine socks that i can put over them if i think it's going to be brutal cold
