Interesting. When you say "blanketing" do you mean dead?
I know they made an effort this year to stock some shiners for forage there.
It wouldn't surprise me if they all died. The water is too clean. it's like an enormous swimming pool.

I've heard from boaters on RV talking about seeing an enormous catfish, I guess they weren't exaggerating.

Andre, Spruce Run has a good population of catfish. In the summertime, a lot of anglers pursue them in the evenings. On the weekends, the pier looks like a carnival.
