Round Valley Night Fishing Update
So,
Another night is over and once again Round Valley was the spot. Thanks to all for the advice on some night fishing as well as sales rep from Effingers that I have met last night.
Time fished: 8pm till 1am
Place: Round valley cove near the camping ground.
Bait and set up used: One rod with a fisherman's rig and second with a slip bobbler using large shinners.
My friends managed to talk me into getting my sorry behind into their raft so we can paddle to a different spot. Spot was accessible via trail but we were not in mood to walk at night. Water was a little choppy at the start but around 930 all was calm and quiet and fishing picked up. from 930 to 12 I would say was a really good time but only managed to land 2 smallmouth and 1 largemouth. Nothing to brag about but still a better fishing than a night before when only one catfish was caught. Another nice size one was in the area but was not able to hook into it. Smallmouth put up a nice aerial show which was fun to watch at night.
Overall a nice night of fishing more reports to follow. Fish porn is coming up.
P.S. All fish was released to fight another day in perfect condition.
