Default late fluke report 8/27/14

got an invite form a friend to fish his boat with his parents only fished out of AHMH twice this year and a handful of times since I used to mate there, so i jumped all over it. got to the boat and all rigged up and my friend asked where the bite was!! I laughed and said no clue. but if i have one particular channel that does very well this time of year. before i knew it i was behind the wheel and set a corse. got out before most others as it was only 7 am and set up made two drifts and had a hand ful of keeps on the boat before i started seeing other boats show up. On the third drift we got 3 keeps and i was dialed in. had the fleet to the south a bunch of private boats to the north and no one around us i preceded to make about 6 more drifts over a 1/2 mile stretch and we wound up 1 short of a boat limit. i used my home made bucktails all day, (thanks sam) and got 10 keeps only keeping my legal limit with the bucktails producing most of the larger fish as my smallest was 20 inch largest 25 inch. great day with a good friend and his parents. they used spearing and gulp all day on three ways and put some meat on deck just took a little longer. i did tie a spro on his moms line with a teaser and she bounced it bait style on a conventional and put 3 keeps in the box on 2 drifts. dont think she is going back .... it is some great fishing out now guys dont keep reading get fishing.
