Never knowing my work hours, I didn't get in on the pike-a-thon. But yesterday morning, I tried a stretch with a friend and we both had a fish on for a second or two, but nothing landed. This morning, I had a short window before work solo and tried a different stretch with a more solid bottom.
With the solid bottom, and much clearer water, I landed 4 pike and lost a couple more in a 90 minute time frame, just after first light. The deeper, clearer water around the weed beds seemed to be the ticket this morning.
I hope the guys well down river had a good morning !! This was the only pike I took a picture of this morning, with the others being close to this size, except for one about 24 inches.
