The difference in capacity between AGM's and wet cells is not something you will ever likely notice. In the meantime AGM's are far more rugged, don't need to be constantly recharged over the Winter and they can't spill. They can handle deep discharges dear better than wet cells too. I have one that is 6 years old and hasn't been recharged in two years and it still reads 12.86 volts. I really tHink the preference on the part of so many is almost always based in price. You don't always get what you pay for but you really do here.
