I generally avoid popular lakes on weekends and more so on nice days but I figured I get there early and leave before noon. First hour or so I had the large timber cove to myself. Access was easy since the water level is even further down than before. I still had to hurdle numerous logs but still better than not being able to reach the water at all. I chose a small spinner looking to get anything and I caught plenty. I didn't really keep track but I'd say at least 40 rock bass and 50 or more sunfish(bluegills,p'seeds and redbreast). Got a few small bass and one small pickerel. Small was the word today. Did see 12 bass of various sizes(up to about 16-17") but completely disinterested in my spinner. By 8-8:30, the lake was full of boats many of which invaded the timber so I bid a hasty adieu. At one point there were five boats within 100 feet of each other. Some so close they could shake hands I doubt with all that traffic anybody does very well or even comes close to limiting out. I'm sure it fishes much better during the week or on lousy rainy days.

Any reason its so low? We've had plenty of rain. Never seen it that low going back to its creation circa 1988. I actually fished the small impoundment that was there before the dam. It really was a nice area with native brookies in the creek as well.
