Lots of progress being made on the hill with the help of the RFA supporting some flexibilty in Magnuson Stevens Act. For those you not familiar, as it stands now, by law, fisheries MUST BE CLOSED DOWN COMPLETELY if a certain species of a particular stock is deemed to be in trouble. The flexibility would allow us to potentially avoid complete closures of a fishery. Read more here
