That's a beautiful trout.
I remember reading in Manny Luftglass's book Gone Fishin' in Spruce Run Reservoir when they stocked trout, a few Brown Trout manged to tough out the summer by finding natural springs within the reservoir.
(or something to that effect. This is going back like 20 years. The book is in desperate need of an upgrade.)
I hope the state conducts some studies in the future to test the viability of Brown Trout in Spruce Run. Judging from what I have seen of the reservoir in the summer, I would think a hold-over trout fishery would be unlikely.
