stopped in yesterday for some shiners and saw the weichert signs up on the building and lot. asked about it and they said that with the economy and such they didn't really have a choice anymore. the store will be closing unless someone buys the business/inventory as a package deal along with the real estate.
they probably could have done a little more to stay up with the times and prices weren't always the greatest, but still it is sad to see an old time sporting goods place closing up... they've been there since way back when craigmeur was a ski slope!
