Have you ever felt like you're the only one who has to work all week?

This generation has more unemployed, more retiring early, more collecting welfare/disability/work comp, etc. It all means more fishing while your working. Heck when I was unemployed about 14-15 years ago, I fished every day while looking for work. lol. I always take my vacation days on tues, wed or thursdays thinking I'll have water to myself since most will take fridays or mondays off to extend the weekends. Well thats the way it used to be. Not anymore. Its not unusual now to see a dozen or so boats midday wednesday in late April. Damn economy is ruining the fishing!
As for the wind, I think anglers forget that even on calm days, there is always a breeze coming across the water. Basically the wind is funneled over the water since there is no obstruction. The larger the water, the bigger the breeze. If they forecast wind gusts to 30mph, you can add another 4-6 mph over water. I have no scientific proof of this but it sure feels windier.
