Re: Did you see ilegal dumping taking place????
I illegally (take a)dump on occasion. When you gotta go, you gotta go. Watch your step!
I report dump sites if I think its out of hand or may influence water quality. While fishing a rather remote wild trout stream over on Pennsy state game lands many years ago, I came across and ENTIRE car left in the stream. It was full of bullet holes and seem to be a favorite target of local meth heads popping off shotguns(poconos are full of them meth heads not shotguns). Anyhow, I reported it via letter(remember those?) to the PGC. They responded a few weeks later saying the car had been removed. To this day I have no idea how it got there considering the rough terrain(2 mile walk and the trail is barely 10 feet wide) and the fact the car was from like the 1950's and not functional.
Unfortunately most illegal dumpings take place on public lands like wildlife mgt areas. This is where I most often see piles of junk discarded. Deer carcasses seem to be common. A quick email will make the proper authorities aware of it.
