Shrink wrapping the eye of a stinger hook works well as does this stuff
http://www.plastidip.com/home_solutions/Plasti_Dip. Learned this tip from our own River Rat.
What each does is help keep the stinger from twisting around too much on the bucktail hook and fouling longer baits.
With the plasti dip you dip the eye once, let it dry and then once more and thread them on to the bucktail hook as needed.
With the shrink wrap you need to be sure and heat the shrink wrap up with the lighter to make it tight on the stinger hook eye.
