john altamare 9/18/13 great trip

capt's kevin gerrity and dave bender took john altamare of hasbrook heights on his annual over night canyon trip on sept 18. on board was former state champion wrestler rich bustamonte from st benedicts prep, danny thomas, ed, jason and paulie walnuts. upon arriving we immediately had trolling action with the longfins catching a four banger, unfortunately, it turned into 3 and three quarters as a shark ate a piece of one on the way in. we trolled 9 longfins and two very nice yellowfins before we set up for another slow night of chunking. our only bite was on the sword rod and we lost the fish in our running gear. back on the troll thursday we added another eight longfins returning to port with 17 longfins and 2 yellowfins. the guys had a great time and the teasing was endless with john as usual.
