The wife and I spent a beautiful Sunday out on LH yesterday. Fortunately we didn't catch any fish to ruin it!
Except that is for one Walleye about 13" that I "snagged" on a Krocodile Spoon in about 15ft of water. He must have swiped at it and missed because the hook got him in the side just below the dorsal fin. It's amazing how hard that little dude could pull when he is swimming sideways! Pulling drag like a wiper...which is what I thought I had until I saw him. But it was my first ever Walleye so it made up for the lack of fish....a little at least. The wife did not agree with that train of thought. She gets grumpy when she doesn't catch anything.
Got a little choppy out on the main lake later in the afternoon with the wind and wake combo but it was a really nice day out there.
