Take it from someone who has targeted these fish a few times. I'm positive that there are some sea-runs in that river, but there are two problems: 1) there are very, very few, and 2) there are a lot more places for them to hide then there are to fish. The Manasquan is not a fun river to fish; it is always brown, it has high, muddy banks, and there are snags everywhere. You could lose hundreds of dollars of lures and hooks before you even catch a glimpse of a sea-run.

Definitely not worth the money. Throw the surplus browns in Merrill Creek to crowd out all the lakers!
