Nice Fattie!!!! Big Smallies are great!!! Nice Job! IMO it's easy to pound the shoreline in spring and catch fish! To be a really good angler one needs to def be able to catch fish in deep water as well. Sometimes it's a good idea to pick one or two lakes and fish them consistently instead of running all over the place and learn those lakes well all seasons and depths. Some lakes are better at certain times of the year and for certain fish so deciding what type of fish you want to try and catch and picking a lake that's known for them will put the odds in your favor instead of just fishing whatever for whatever.
