Default Central NJ - Prospertown Lake

been hitting the salt a lot lately. but decided to hit a local lake down the street. about 2 hours each of the last few days flipping a 1.5 inch Rapala minnow close the bank and around some weeds. I forgot just how much fun it is catching the smaller fish on an light set up.

Bluegills (med - jumbo), largemouth from juveniles up to about 10 inches, one pickeral and the nicest catch was a very large black crappie that bent the pole over. nice assortment of fish - all within 20 feet of the bank. I don't have a boat or yak so I'm sure the bigger fish are out deeper and in the lilypads.

nonetheless - nice action anda great way to close out the day and watch the sun go down....and hear the screams from the roller coasters at Great Adventure.
