Got up to the lake late friday night - was burning to get on the water sooner - but between traffic, grocery store (was having kids up to fish and tube on Sat) - only was able to get the last hour in.

Fish were there - ended up with 10 lmb before calling it quits.. literally shut my car off, left everything in there (wife uppacked the groceries / trooper she is) and walked right down to the boat turned it on and off we were...

Sat - was take the kids fishing day... set them up with live baits and fish the pieces/drifts and its fishing for 1st graders.. these kids never caught a fish in there lives and ended up with endless crappies, pickeral and bass... my lil guy was rewarded with a nice stripper in the am that was somewhere in the five+ pd range. Highlight of my day was fishing a spinner bait slow and having three cranks left on the reel and just happened to be looking at the spinnerbait and all of a sudden and striper comes up and hits it (mouth wide open and BAM were hooked up one foot from the boat) screaming line.. was awesome sight to see

Everything released

After that it was tubing and bbqing and clean up time since I thought Sun was going to be a wash and Im glad I did it because I woke up to a downpour at 5AM with everything put away. Packed up and called it quits early
