NJ is crawling with crooks these days, but the same thing happened here in NY state to a small bait/tackle place that gave full access 24 hours on the honor system.. some ******* took all his bait, all his tackle, and the cash box... Guy closed it down, and that was the end of the really nice little shop we had any time we needed it... Get those pricks into court. That will cool down those hot little hands... bob

We have to prove how much was taken. In the videos there is no way to count each bunker or clam. There is no forced entry or trespassing because we leave the coolers full by our front door. Unless we can prove the value over a certain amount, nothing happens to them. If I post the info on a public forum, I am open to law suits for violating a criminals rights. Its a he said / she said as far as value that I will lose in court every time.

I was all ready the first time it happened. But I was told its a loser. Nobody broke in, they simply helped themselves to something left out after hours. Would spend more in court than its worth to watch them get a slap on the wrist, MAYBE! Unless they had a prior record or something. Best bet is ID them to the locals and chase them off the fishng spots when they are spotted. No violence, the shame of others knowing is enough to chase them away and stop it.

In the end...... they have more rights to steal from me than I have to go after them.
