After last week's mechanical issues with my outboard which I did fix, wanted to try it out and try a light I made (saw it on a catfish webpage) so off to the Valley with my Daughter. Got up there little after nine and fished till one thirty. Didn't mark much in the way of fish, a lot of bait but not many fish.
Glad my daughter got her first nighttime rainbow, 12/13 in. fat fish looked kinda roughed up possibly one from the last stocking? Caught it about half hour in and then one rock bass for the rest of the night. Surface water temp was 64 degrees. Couple of guys next to us got a rainbow and a brown from what I heard them saying on the boat. Oh well can't kill em' all the time!!!
