Been a good year so far for me. Did well jigging before the ice in January for Walleye and Crappie on the state's big lakes. Shifted to the rivers in February and March and had some banner days. One nice three week stretch where the Pike were AVERAGING over 30" with most in the 33"-36" range, nice double digit days. Landed nice Pike to 36", Smallies to 18", Carp and even a 21" river Walleye. Then turned our attention to the Striper run and we wacked them on topwater lures in 45 degree water with double and triple headers, my buddies killing it too. Ice out came and started nailing Crappie and Yellow Perch with a surprise juvenile Muskie kayak style. Pike died down, temps warmed and got my a$$ back to the big lakes for Walleye, Hybrids and the latest, my best catch of the year 45" Muskie. Can't wait to see what the next 6 months hold, hopefully a few more personal bests.
Anyone else?
