Default River Fluking - Late Saturday Report

Did an early morning flatty trip for a few hours in the river with my buddy Russ on his 22ft Grady. Pushed off about 5:45am with a decent SW wind and a falling tide. Conditions were just right, sun peeked its head, and we had a steady pick of fish for literally 3 hours. Not lights out but decent action and steady. Most fish taken on the lower jig tipped with 3 inch chart gulp, as I suspect its too early for them to be chasing the high hook. Lots of fish with dirty muddy bellys so I think we caught them waking up from their winter naps. We each put about 15+ fish in the boat, I missed my limit by one but did manage a nice pair which went about 4-5#'s a piece. Left hand fish taped out at 24.5 inches and was nice and fat...Cleaned and back in my driveway by 10:30am. Nice when they are that close to home and they cooperate.
