Default Re: Sea bass Jigging set any recomandations?

I would use a st croix Mojo bass power spin its 7 foot 8-14lb plenty of power for sea bass. i have used mine to land tog up to 10 pounds. a 4000 sized reel battle, stradic whatever tickles your fancy. a truly versatile set up that you can use for almsot anything that swims in the ocean or lake.

as for jigs you can't go wrong with a gibbs1 1/2 or 2oz minnow in white belly pink back. it's an awesome sea bass jig. but don't over look an ava 007 or 17 plain or with a tail. the shimano Lucanus jigs are also dynamite. for the past few seasons this has been my go to method for catching monster inshore sea bass.
