Default Re: Sea bass Jigging set any recomandations?

you got a cupple options to go with depending on what type of fisherman you are.
Option 1: 8ft fast to EX-fast 10-17 lb line rating spinning rod or something close to that. 30lbs of braid with 3-5 ft fluro 17-20 lb.

Option 2: casting 8 ft fast to extra-fast 8 to 15 lb line rating 4 lb braid. 10-12 ft fluro in 25 to 30lb.

If your going offshore, double the rating for rods. and fluro carbon leader.

braided line increase by half. give or take. 5-10 lbs.

jigging: sooo many. butterfly style jigs. shimano or daiwa works. so does the hammered diamond. spros are always a good choice. brand or not it a good place to start. Do Not Forget the GULP!!! 3 or 4 in grub. chartruse.

shallow water ( anything under 80 ft ) with slow drift 3-5 oz jigs.
deep water or fast drift 6oz and up.
