Thumbs up Merrill Creek Res. 5/20/13:

At the bait shop at 5am. I walk in and the kid say 10 dozen ? I thought, does this kid know me ?
Anyway, double anchored up in about 50 FOW at 6:45. At 7;15 I had 2 lakers and a stockie brown, I figured this aint so bad.
Scratched and clawed for the next 4 hours. 2 more lakers, a stockie brown here and there, along with the rare rainbow. No real surface action except for the stockies, it was like a trout petting zoo.
Great live lining conditions, just a slight wind. Worked 5 rods, all live lined herring. Everything came together except a big fish. Lines went out nice, herring swam good. Oh well, thats fishin'.
Picked up some leeches on the way home, think I'll float before we get any type of big rains then try to get back to Merrill if the weather holds.
The vacation continues, stay tuned.
