Sandy Hook Is Alive And Well!!!
fished the hook yesterday from 9am 'till 6pm. AM and late afternoon gave up some stripers and big "yellar eyes". Both top water plugs and metal worked. Too much of a hassle to drag big surf rods and pails of bunker. Beach was crowded. Bunker fishermen were hooking fluke, sea robbins and an occasional striper. You had too be in the right place, at the right time and be prepared to walk a mile.The beach has changed drastically since Sandy. Most of the sand is gone and big drop off at waters edge.
