I convert all my reels over to Carbontex if they didn't come with it originally. And yes I grease the drags with Cal's, both sides unless the drag is glued down then of course it only gets a topping of Cal's. Just apply and rub off any excess. And Alan Tani's site is great.
BTW TSI oil is AMAZING on bearings!!
