North Jersey Opening Day Trout
Great but crowded opening day in bloomingdale,nj on the pequannock river . The hole was packed with people but plenty of fish to go around. Limited out early and then played catch and release for a while. Joes Flies were the go to in the beginning but it quickly turned to a nightcrawler bite. Nothing out of the ordinary a bunch of brookies didnt see any other types of trout caught. Left bloomingdale and headed to the Ramapo Reserve where the fishing was much tougher. Had to work very hard for two brookies that were released and did not see any other fish caught. All in all it was a good day had the opportunity to meet another fellow njfishing member who was from Bloomingdale. If you see this post shoot me a pm so we can do some saltwater.
