I was actually just thinking of buying a pair treated leather work gloves (the kind that nails and sharp points cant penetrate) and using those to just grab Pike/Musky by the lip like I do bass and not have to worry... that would actually be the easiest way without causing any damage to the fish... the gloves are made of kevlar.... something like this
