Ive been using the lip grips for about a year as I feel its safer than how I used to grab and hold them by the gill as I was always afraid of damaging the gill in some way no matter how careful I would be handling them... the lip grips have worked great as I now don't have to risk touching their gill plate but I noticed that lip grips will break through the Pike's skin just under the lip and leaves a hole... I am wondering if these rips although small will hurt the pike in any way... I'm also wondering why they don't make lip grips with a thicker wider pinch/pressure point in order to avoid these punctures into the fish jaw skin....
