snap swivels

It looked like on the last fish of the upper delaware river video (littlemouth on golden spinner) that you used a snap swivel, if so wanted to hear peoples opinions on swivelling or not. have always thought a swivel on a minnow would help it swim more naturally but can't find the ball bearing (alnico?) in the small size.
for those who have not seen lards youtube channel he's 'mrlardalmighty' and the videos are excellent.
