Thinking further on monitors. There is a certain type of panel that favors static images over moving images. I think it's IPS or TPS I forget which. They have crap response time but are super accurate on color. You may want to look into that, an associate of mine specifically bought that type of panel and I think he only paid a few hundred bucks for a rather large one. It's not Retna quality, but it's also not a thousand dollars.
