Default Passaic River Lunchtime 10-17

Hit the river for another quickie lunchtime fishing break. Decided to use a lighter rod with 6 pound mono, and I was throwing 5 inch Senkos. I fished the far bank from where I was, and that stretchy mono took its toll. I caught one largemouth that was about 2-2½ pounds, and had two more come off while jumping. Just couldn't get a good hook-set I guess.

Had something else attacking my worm while retrieving it mid-river. Went after it two different times as I was kind of skating the worm across the surface, then finally took it for a few seconds, then let it go. I think it was a pike, but can't be sure. Worm wasn't bit off or anything, it just let it go.

Anyway, it was a nice way to spend 40 minutes.
