The biggest difference between cod jiging and tile jigging other than depth is that the tiles will hit the jig on the drop, out of the mudd and in the middle of a sweep, where as codfish typically eat the jig on the drop.
I never use a teaser and I sometimes tip the jig with a small squid head or strip for the tiles, but I am moving away from any bait while jigging. For groupers I always jig unbaited
