Back to the scene of the crime. Fished the falls at Duke Island Park, bounced around below and around and came back to the falls deep dropping jigs along the bottom when it got crushed. Didn't feel like I snagged the fish but it took off on a long drag burning run, I knew right away it wasn't a bass or trout, the run was too long. Nothing I could do but hang on using my UL set up with 4 lb. test. The fish took me all the way to the other side of the falls. I waded downstream a bit hoping to at least turn its head, he gave me a great bulldog fight. Fought the fish long and hard and finally got an eyeball on him, a 15lb. + carp. Beautiful fish, no camera, no Go-pro. Got a quick release and he was on his way, what a great fight !!! A clean hook set with the jig, right in the lip.
