What is it people always say? Oh that's right - hit a new/different section of the river today. Well its not true - I just wanted to say that

Anyhoo despite having to bankbeat my way through 7 foot high weeds, 2 foot deep mud and one annoying merganser, the action was pretty good for about 4 hrs. No monsters but some solid 22-26" pike along with a couple of fatty lmb. I caught one white perch as well which was a strange catch on the river that far upstream. Also lost three lures in trees so if you yak through the area I was, look up you might get a few free lures. lol
