Re: braid help
Braid has improved a lot over the years and it should not harm your tackle. If I were you, before committing to the expense of converting all your gear over, I would by a small spool and put a 50 yard top shot of braid over your mono and splice together with a uni to uni knot.
Give that a shot and see how you like it.
