Default Re: Pike in Farington Lake

I live 10 mins from farrington. I am not the best fisherman but I am no slouch either. I have fished there maybe 10 times specifically targeting pike and several times targeting bass. Caught a couple of nice pics up to 3 1/2 pounds. Had one good bass trip with about 8 fish but nothing over 1 1/2. Two other times I caught 1 bass each at around 2 lbs. On one of my pike trips I ended up with what looked like teeth marks on my trolled daredevele. Another time I hooked into one while trolling a jointed rapala. Got it close to the boat and it looked to be the size of my leg. Lost it when my line was cut do to a defective eye on my pole. What bothered me the most about that is whether that fish ever dislodged the lure. Overall not to impressed with the fishing there. Just a few days ago I went to another pike stocked venue and I HAMMERED THEM! Caught at least a doz and missed a dozen more. They were taking topwater, jointed rapala, and spinnerbait. Caught small medium and large, (dont have any measurements cause I really dont care) and one accidental largemouth that was bigger than any bass I ever caught in Farrington.
