Default MDW Passaic River Pike

Went to my favorite spot on the river over the weekend and all of the rain had levels nice and high for this spot. I went with one other friend. First cast my buddy hooks into a pike and all I heard was a big splash, my buddy got tail whipped so bad there was water on him and then the fish took drag. Unfortunately, the fish went into a tree and he lost him. Then I took my first cast and hooked into a pike that was 30 inches. After that we went to another spot. I ended up getting another one a little over 30 inches and weighed 7 lbs on the scale. I ended up getting two for the day and losing one that was easily 30 inches, and my buddy ended up getting one as well. 3 pike total, and we both lost one each. All fish 30" or more which was nice to see. All I can tell you guys is to catch decent size pike you gotta use big baits. I ended up going back today and did not get a single bite!!! Water was a little lower and murky.
