Got out in the kayak on what's quickly become my new Bass spot (don't even ask, you don't want to know!). Got out on the water around 7pm and began tossing jointed topwater baits and badonkadonks. First cast I get hit by a solid Crappie, close to 12". Shortly after, we paddled to an area with an awesome submerged weed bed where my buddy landed the first solid bass of the night, just as the sun was going down. A few more average largemouths were landed for the next couple hours until the Bass in the 2nd picture blew up on my lure, scaring the crap out of me in about 2ft of water. Got off the water around midnight with some nice bass CPR'd, just not the 5lb beast I released last weekend.
