Johnson park side of river pretty shallow, but if you go to landing lane brigde and walk across, there are some holes on that side, you might have better luck, also can walk along the cannal path, across river from park. Park side you'll catch carp in the shallows, there are stripers in the area now too. Don't know Bakelite
