Got out tonight in a new spot I havent had the chance to fish yet. Launched around 430pm and within 10 minutes was on my first fish, a short but chubby LMB. After a little bit of a paddle and some exploring, I got pretty lucky. After watching my spoon crankbait get swiped at by something, next cast it was on. Landed my new personal best Yellow Perch. Within the next 45 minutes, I landed a total of 4 big Yellow Perch and 4 LMB's, the biggest being Id guess close to 3lbs. After losing the hot lure that had got me all the day's fish, I thought I was toast for the day...but I was wrong. Threw on a big fire tiger jointed rapala and started casting into structure. A few minutes later, I had a huge topwater explosion and had hooked up with something respectable. After a few near misses, I landed what is now my personal best Pike. Could not get a length, but the fish weighed 5lbs9oz on my digital scale. I apologize for the subpar photo, as in my pumped up state, I set the camera on the wrong setting

Got off the water around 8pm. Total damage was 4 Yellow Perch including my now personal best, 4 Largemouths and 1 Northern Pike which is also now my personal best. Besides snagging my new go-to lure, getting the 'yak covered in mud, and this poison ivy on my left forearm, it was a great night out and up there with my more "lengenday" performances lol. Enjoy.
