Default Nice variety then a "Spliterock" skunking...

Hit the river on Thursday with the usual shiners and lures. At about 5pm, I hit this decent largemouth while snagged in (insert Passaic River Snag here). Fish looked very healthy and had nice coloring...pleasantly surprising. Within the next couple hours, we managed to hook up with 7 different species between the 3 of us. LMB, and bunch of short SMB, short Pike, FAT eel, Rockbass, a few small catfish, and a snagged carp that fought for a good 5 minutes before breaking off. No real big fish besides the carp, but was a fun night.

Today I got to hit Splitrock Reservoir from 1pm-5pm. Fishing was slow, wind was breezy, and the water was still 53 degrees. Seemed as though the Sunnies were in the shallows spawning. Got the skunk and cool sunglasses tan. Saw this classic sign on the trail back to the parking lot. Proof read the spelling of our signs before we print them for the world to see?
