sigma was setting up the pattern and i played along and got these two
the brookie was really nice and chubby. both put up a very nice fight.
there were some kayakers out, but not really as many fishermen on the river as I would have expected for the saturday before closure.
totally different story when i went back to the same spots on sunday afternoon. a huge hatch had happened mid day, fishermen everywhere, and not a fish to be had by anyone I talked to.
these holdovers did have some decent coloring, but 10" silver trout are still fun, opening day can't get here soon enough!
