Default Re: Anyone use braid in fresh water??

As others have said it won't help in very clear water but in murky waters I started using it last year on one of my baitcasters and I'm very happy with it. I generally use it for heavier stuff like tubes, spinnerbaits, and lipless crankbaits and it works well with 36" of fluro leader (I generally use 8 LBS but will use 20 LBS for tubes to prevent pickerel shredding it).

I put some braid on the spare spool for one of my spinning-reels for this season and am interested how that works out as I've never tried it before.
