I have been down that area twice but unfortunately my buddy that I fish with (who happens to own the canoe that we use) thinks that getting on to the water at 9am is early... smh
so the 2 times that we have fished way back in these areas we have not done that good (only a few decent largemeouth and smallie). However I do see alot of potential in these back areas along with a few deep pockets. The river is very narrow and you can cover a lot of ground very fast. I plan on getting my own John boat this spring and hitting the water early (5am ish) to really see whats going on back there...
