The commercial fishermen in the Mediterrenean have a bad history of violating fishing regulations as well as common sense. What are you gonna get for a 5# sword?? Last year some tree hugger organization used Chinese spy satellites to document some commercial fishing ships loading up on Tuna days after the season had closed. Even with ICAT's lack of backbone to even call for any effective restrictions, there is no enforcement of the outlandish limits that are awarded. As we work to ensure the survival of the pelagics, our efforts (we don't always KILL our quota) are used by the Europeans to try to get their quota INCREASED. We should send NOAA over there to screw with them for a while, they would probably end up in Davy Jones Locker
