Lard, Wilson and I are planning another road trip for trout. Since everything in NY is closed it's time to head out to Pennslytucky, near State College.
Penns has been a roller coaster as far as water levels are concerned and we are hoping to hit it just right. Our biggest problem may be the leaves, Penns fishes nice in the fall, but you have to wear blaze orange since we will be fishing next to State game lands.
We plan on hiking the mid state trail as far as we can and fishing areas near Weikert, Coburn, and Glen Iron, about a 4 hour drive from Joisy. Not for the faint at heart, hiking in and wading slippery freestone and limestone where wading sticks are a must.
