I caught him on Rainbow Lake. Had a 2 lb. slob on a popper back in July. Crappies in there get big, maybe they're mutant, they do have a yellowish tint
. Sunfish are also monsters in there too, defintely related to the 7 in. size limit. Throwback size ones are rare, but we don't keep any under 8 in. even when we are giving them away. Crappies are rarely under 9" in there, mostly nice 10-11" ones. Everything is getting fat for the fall. Hopefully we'll get some crappies today, I know they are in Stone Tavern.
